Overheard across Dol-Terias, the following and many variations thereof...
"Did you hear?"
"How could I not! Both cities are talking about it!"
"It seems just, if unsavory. Sod had it comin'. Teach those nobles that they're not untouchable, eh?"
"It's not a noble way to go."
"Let's face it, there was nothing noble about the Scourge. He got what he had coming to him - the gods are not blind."
"Who do you think did it?"
"I heard it was an inside job, that a Moore guard did the deed."
"No no, it was the Dunvegans. They had somebody sneaking around in the shadows and then vanish into thin air!"
"Didn't you hear about Frederic Moore working with the Red Tear? Who else could have pulled it off?"
"Was it poison?"
"No one is certain. The only thing we know for sure is that bastard won't be raping and killing to his dark heart's content anymore."
"I'll drink to that!"
