In the mid Afternoon of the tournament, a pair of competitors came to clash in the wrestling event. The champion and favorite, Fenja Gjukisdatter; and her challenger, a half elven man known simply as Argyle who dressed in the tribal wears of the Blackwolf tribe. As these two titans met, they shared a few minutes of pre-fight banter. The fans excited and expecting a quick victory to the acclaimed gladiator.
What came to be was a clash of titans. The first to strike a blow was the outsider! In what could only be called a truly inspiring match, the outsider and champion were back and forth. The first point was scored by Fenja, bringing the crowd to cheering loudly for their champion.
Not to be out done however, the challenger overthrew her, muscling through her defense like a saw through wood. Back and forth they went until finally the bear of a man caught the champion, and proceeded to crush her chest and pinned her arms to her side, stealing her breath and making it harder to fight off his advance.
But fight of the advance she did, wiggling and writhing like a snake to escape his bear hug. When she tried to pin him, she found herself caught once more, and slammed harshly to the sands. Dazed and running low on breathe she fought to her last to free herself, but the challenger held firm and drove his head down into her stomach during one of the more painful pins, cutting her air as her neck and shoulder were pushed into the sand and used to balance their combined weight and thus claimed the win and the shock and surprise of the spectators.
In a show of warriors compassion, he helped the young gladiator back to her feet. As she held his hand above his head in victory, the black gloves, plated with iron, earned his epitaph "the Blackhand"
