Rumor: last night someone carved a rudimentary symbol of Nergull the Conjurer on the wooden front door of the Frost Roadhouse. The unholy icon was smeared with fresh blood, covered by a thin layer of powdered copper and surrounded by five melted candles attached horizontally over the wood. The perpetrator left unseen leaving behind only the decapitated body of a black cat.
This strange occurrence unnerved many on both banks of the Don as it appeared not to be an isolated episode. Before dawn an identical symbol was carved in three other locations, two in Terias and one in Doltanbran.
Sir Dorier of Anvarol, a knight and a captain among the Eyes of the Vigilant [Status 4.5/Fame 5] - that was among the firsts to inspect the two locations violated in Terias - was overheard talking to one of his underlings:
Eye of the Vigilant: "This is a most dark omen, especially with the Grand Tourney about to begin"
Sir Dorier of Anvarol replied with a soft tone, completing the protective gesture against the Evil Eye "one more it's yet to come" his blue eyes ablaze, perhaps quoting from an heretical forbidden source:
"Four will pave the way for the one that's yet to come. And on the Fifth Toll the Two-Faced God will crash the boundaries of the Five Pointed Star, raising again from its deep slumber."

Kat was rather annoyed as she fixed the door, muttering dire threats about those who would grafitti doors and kill helpless kitties.
'I'll give him or her something to conjure about if I catch who it was .... "

That poor Halfling can't catch a break. Hopefully she was wiser than her late husband and scrubbed that pentagram off by hand, eh? (XP Awarded).
