Demonic Forest

Last night when the heroes returned from the fight in the forest, and after the fight between the heroes; a masked halfling calling himself Padfoot, spoke up on the situation.
"It was a trap, the woman had one of her fellows wound her so we might believe her ruse. Claiming Demons were in the forest, we got there to see four Summoners opening a portal and watched in horror as a host of Demons spilled out. The Woman and these Summoners escaped into the portal sealing it behind them. Leaving us to dispatch the demons. two huge metal men things also came out of the portal and began attacking us. Just as we dispatched the last of the foul creatures; Lady Isannah Gaelan asked Sir Garret Farrow to retrieve an amulet from one of the metal men. This was a mistake, the ground began to open up under us and we fled for our lives. Sir Garret could not lift the thing and only barely managed to jump out of the Rift that opened in the Sink Hole with the aid of Sir Daedalus Marqueis, but lost his warhammer as a cost for his failed attempt. This proves once and for all the Demonic attacks on the Roadhouse have not been to misuse of Magic by the owners, the Frosts. But were vicious attacks by Summoners, followers of the Conjurer himself. I went to bed just after getting back so can not testify to the truth of any duels. But spread the word the Frosts are innocent of misuse of magic and its all due to these Cultist." *After this the Halfling returned to his room after downing a shot of whiskey*
