Late tonight, a lady walked in to the Roadhouse beaten and bruised and bloodied. Assembled heros - including Sir Garret Farrow, Dame Angelica Baptiste, Sir Daedalus Marqueis, Lady Isannah Gaelan, Abraham d`Cruxis and Frue Hekili Varaldsen-Gaelan, amongst even more men of skill -- including a pair of halflings and a Volodlak Nobleman, all ventured out into the wilds to bring some justice to her attackers, which she was claiming to be demons! It was a time before they came rushing back inside, wounded and damaged, with some having fractures and others lacerations of a vicious nature. It is said Frue Hekili and Sir Garret were bleeding profusely from their wounds - only once they stopped running did Sir Daedalus stop the bleeding, before Dame Angelica and Sir Sulamond were able to heal many of the injured parties.
None spoke of what happened - a fight breaking out shortly afterwards as Dame Angelica claimed Sir Sasha Volodlak was a follower of the Wolf! Matters continued to escalate, as the man defended that he was not what the Dame claimed - an evil man with possible ties to the Brotherhood. At last, Sir Daedalus stepped up, stating plainly that he would challenge the man to a duel on the Dame's behalf - and that the man could take a champion if he wished. Sir Sasha apparently tried to request a duel of chance in some game or another - but Sir Daedalus refused when Sir Sasha called Abraham d`Cruxis a foul name, spitting at the mans feet and insulting his right to have his name! The nobleman declined the duel, dishonoring himself and the Knight made it clear he would let the mans family be aware of this before long.
What did the heroes face in the wilds that gave them such bloodied wounds - and where was the woman that they had left with? Did she fall in the wilds? Or did she disappear after leading them to their battle? What caused them to run so quickly from their quarry? They did not seem intent on going back, and with such a group of capable warriors, the people can only assume the terror was dealt with. Still, some wonder if the woods have become such a foul place now, that perhaps the curse that was on the Roadhouse itself has simply migrated to the surrounding lands? Should more dangers like this arise, the people can only hope that heroes like those tonight will be ready and available to put an end to it.
