Aracia Treyson, Arquendi (Sergeant) in the Elven Sharps, can be seen upon the Tourney Grounds with a small makeshift booth - blueprints and sketches spread across the table and on display. A little freckle-faced, half-elven girl with ginger hair - known to be her adopted daughter, Merigolde, rests upon a hip.
"Hear me, Hear me!" belts the little girl with her slender hands cupped around her mouth.
Those that stop, hear about something called Saint Alevar's Academy for Wayward Children. It is to be the first free school that the cities have seen - dedicated on readying children for the future. There will be a time in this world when their current heroes will be gone - a future far from now - but it will be the children that will be the men and women of tomorrow - the craftsmen, the seamstresses, the criers, the scribes, the cooks and innkeepers.
"It is to be a safe haven for the children within the streets - those that are forgotten. Those that cut purses and steal from business - those children that are underfoot. Those that are destined to lives of certain death, to whoring and gangs and the Corporation - for both sides of the Don, they live! We shall be blind to race - as blind as these cities are to the poverty that stricken them! And the Academy will take these children and make them into more! Teach them to read and write - with the help of business owners and adventurers willing to dedicate their time, they shall learn trades and find apprenticeships and employment! And everyone gave just a tiny bit - whether that be time or old furniture or books or coin or clothes! It is something more than what they have now! -- for these misguided children deserve a life more than what they are destined for now - they deserve a Choice, just as all of us have been given within our lives!"
She offers the following ledger, to be signed - to anyone willing to help, in whatever way they can.
"We stand to united to fight for a cause that is too often overlooked. We stand together, united by the hopes to bring a better tomorrow to the children of the streets- from the Canals in Terias to the Hives in Doltanbran. We stand together, to offer support to them, to brighten their futures. We hope to turn them from the paths of cutpurses, murderers, and whores, and turn them brighter paths. Apprentices, Book-Keepers, Masons, Smiths, Crafters, Barkeeps, Sailors, Cooks, Falconers, Soldiers, Guards. We wish to dedicate our time and skill to better the future of the cities- worlds divided that we live in, and unite them with a common goal and purpose: the children of our streets of all nations, races, creeds, and faiths and help them become something Good. What we seek to found is an academy and a homestead for the wayward youth of both cities; divorced from the petty politics of the two cities. After all, a bleak future for the youth is darkness of both sides. We have noble souls, willing to look past their differences to come together; to stand as one for the future and sacrifice both coin and time so that the future will be brighter. What we seek now, is your blessing. That would end the petition to the High Lord with all the signatures we can get. Those who have pledged to do such are the following:
Sergeant Aracia Treyson, Elven Sharps Abraham d`Cruxis
Aria d`Cruxis Floom Frost, Courtier of House Gaelan
Sir Daedalus Marqueis, Captain of the Aegis Order Lady Erina of House Alturien
Frue Hekili Varaldsen-Gaelan Althar of the Black Wolves
Dame Angelica Baptiste Taraa Eldenway
Sir Phillip of House Gaelan Nival Frostweaver, Herald of the Lady of Frost
Minn Hirra Olvik Varaldsen
(Anyone else willing to offer support please reply so I may add your name to the list) (Please do not lock this thread. Thank you)
