The church of Anvarol has been a strong presence in Terias since the foundation of the city. The Vigilant, as one of the prime Asturian Gods, is fervently worshipped among the aristocracy of Terias. The High Lord Lernan himself has never hidden his faith and belief in the dogma of the Guardian God because Anvarol precepts stand in sharp contrast to the decadent mores of Doltanbran. From their magnificent fortified temple the clergy of Anvarol supports the military and political initiatives of Lord Lernan surveying the wilderness for external perils. The High Lord has a staunch ally in Lord Magnus Noemar, the Marshall of the Knighly order of the Eyes of the Vigilant. This elite of dogmatic warrior-clerics is the arm of the church, unbent and reckless, ready to counter any form of heresy as well as any insubordination that undermines the Alturien claim over Dol-Terias.The church claims of having foiled two assassination attempts on the High Lord before the Truce Treaty was signed. Despite their martial connotations clerics of Anvarol rarely joins the Shields of Terias but tend to keep among themselves. After all, their prestige is already largely recognized.
