The "youngest" of the Elven Houses, the Haesion are a throwback to when magic ruled the world. Birthed long ago when an Elder Salaci, unsuited for rule, yielded the Prince's throne to his younger sister who took a Lorastiel as Prince Consort, he was subsequently cast out of the family and sent to the Quiver in the East. There in solitude he studied and learned the ways of magic, long forgotten and brought the ways of the arcane archers back to the elven people. His power and honor restored, he soon grew busy with apprentices and compatriots. That knowledge has since grown and multiplied as the Haesion lent their aid to the learned of the surrounding countries, always searching for more powerful items and books to study. Using coin from their advantageous position at the River Quarlen's base, today the Quiver holds a great library at its top, second only to the Kailab. The Haesion are led by a council of Haesion magi whose identity is kept secret, lest they be dragged down by their brethren once again. They collectively represent the "Grand Duke's" of Haesion. The Haesion are known as accomplished arcanists and usually worship the spiteful and the pure.
Its banner is a multicolored Spiral, slowly turning black at the center.
Its Motto: "Knowledge is Power."
House Colours: Any colours with black accents to symbolize the many-coloured spiral.
The Haesion control the Eastern Quarlen from The Quiver, a slender tower docked at the base of the River Quarlen, where the elven trading vessels depart. The Haesion's elemental water magic is second only to that of the northmen, who whisper uneasily of the elven twister that can drag a whole longship beneath the river's depths.
